R Philip a month ago During a renovation of a lower-level room in our home, we discovered elevated humidity caused by the adjacent crawlspace. After meeting with several encapsulation companies, we chose North Georgia Crawlspace because of Chris Swinney’s expertise and professionalism. Josh and Tonto were thorough, detail-oriented, and clearly took pride in doing the job right. The results have been excellent, and we are extremely satisfied. Can't praise NGC enough. After moving to Murphy from Florida, I had a radon test done and it came back 2x the upper limit. We decided to encapsulated and reached out to Chis and NGC. From Chris' visit for survey to his crew coming in and knocking it out in a day. I couldn't be more pleased and relieved that our crawlspace is completely sealed.

Everything was cleared out from the Crawlspace and disposed. Thick plastic covers everything in this area. The dehumidifier they installed reduced the humidity level from 83 to 56 overnight. Great job by NGC. I highly recommend them.

Buying your grandparents place built in the 70s brings memories and nostalgia, but along with it unexpected costs . Grans house had plastic she had put in the crawlspace many many years ago. It has since torn and no longer effective . Inspections under the house showed mildew , mold , dampness , 78 perfect humidity and some bowed places in the floors of the guest rooms and wood floor in living room . I wanted to have the encapsulation, but was Leary of the cost , was it worth it ? ? I got 3 quotes 2 of them both in the same price range and one about 6 thousand dollars more. I finally went with @north georgia crawl space . They had a no pressure sales pic, I know the family and one of the guys Josh was just so easy and comforting to work with. Today Josh paid a follow up visit to check how it was going . It’s been a few weeks and he was very aware that I was anxious and nervous about this investment. Today most of the humps in the floors are resolved ! And the humidity in the crawl space is down to 52%!! Thanks guys ! Chris Swinney

Chris was very informative and even showed us we had a dehumidifier attached to our furnace that we didn’t even know how to run because the previous owner had never mentioned it to us. Aquaguard and Crawlspace Ninja both provided estimates ranging from $28,000 to $45,000. North Georgia Crawlspace came in way under those estimates and fixed everything correctly. Don't hesitate to call them well before these big franchise companies. Chris the owner helped me every step of the way. After being let down by two other contractors, each of who backed out before starting any work, we finally met Chris with North Georgia Crawlspace. He reviewed our situation, waterproofed the exterior of the house that was being exposed to water and installed a french drain, despite it being where the electrical and communications lines entered the building, and installed another french drain in the crawlspace as well as encapsulated it. Chris’s crew, Greg and Josh, were hard workers and completed a first rate job. We’re thankful we finally met Chris and his team.

I spent MONTHS trying to find the best quote/best work and finally found North Georgia Crawlspace. Chris worked with me to do the bare minimum required, which involved killing the mold, laying new plastic down in my crawlspace, and installing a dehumidifier. This has been very effective in keeping my crawlspace dry and mold-free. Chris Swinney was kind and very knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the entire process thoroughly and answering my millions of questions! Their service was not only the most affordable option but also highly effective. I highly recommend North Georgia Crawlspace for anyone needing any crawlspace work done! They made suggestions that were not taken into consideration by the contractor to ensure we would remain dry in the basement. Chris met me on the jobsite with some 6mil plastic that I needed to protect the structure from the elements. He did this on his own terms and didn't charge me. He educated me on the process and all conversations with the contractor. NGC has gone above and beyond expectations and professionalism. I highly recommend them. He responded the first day I called and sent 2 of his team out to preinspect and take pictures. Next he got back with me within a few days with a price and schedule to come out and start work the following week. During the process he responded to calls or texts with my numerous concerns and relayed the info to his guys in the field. As a General Contractor for over 40 years I can only work with people who are responsive and thorough and Chris is that person. I would highly recommend North Georgia Crawlspace to all as they do not oversell more stages to remediate that are not necessarily needed and get the job done the most cost effective way!

We have a house with a high humidity issue, close to a creek, and wanted to get the crawlspace encapsulated to help with the issue. He encapsulated it and added a dehumidifier, and due to being in a flood plane, added a drainage system and sump pump. His work was top notch, and the price for the value was fair. We live in Florida full time and were looking forward to having friends at our Georgia cabin for the time since we bought it . Except the day before our visit we found out there was a humidity problem causing mildew inside. Chris and his team quickly evaluated the problem and presented a solution. You can spend less money and it might work. NGC does it right the first time. Doing it the cheap way and then paying $15k to $20k to repair it will make you a believer.
